- The bladder and urethra had healed together which enabled him to take out the catheter. Praise the Lord.
- The lab report said that the cancer was contained in the prostate gland. The entire gland was removed. Most likely, that means that the cancer is gone.
- The surgeon rates his success in sparing nerves on levels 1 - 4 with 4 being the best case scenario. He rated mine at a 4.
- There was very little tissue damage.
The removal of the catheter was fairly painful and they had a difficult time getting it out because my canal was more narrow than normal. In the end, they were able to remove it. Also, there were some cells very close to the port of connection of the urethra. He doesn't believe that any of those cells escaped outside the prostate. However, they want to monitor it closely. That means quarterly checkups.
God answered your prayers. Thanks so much for standing with me. I will need to be on limited activity for about six weeks. Pray that this will be a time where I meet with the Lord and He with me. God bless you and thanks so much for your prayers.
